STILL LIFE DRAWING

For my still life drawing the three object that I chose to draw were a little shoe keychain, a can bottle of my favorite drink mango nectar, and one of my many stuffed pandas. Mainly since the panda was long I chose to put the orientation horizontal. I spaced them out in a way that they use the most space in the paper and have room to between each object. They all have different base heights to show what item is closer and what is farther while still keeping the right proportions of the the object correct. Also since they were more separate from one another there were no tangents. There are many different kinds of lines that the drawing consists of. I had to use many dark thick lines, and dark and light thin lines especially to show that the panda is furry in texture. The panda had a high key value next to a very low key value showing great contrast while the shoe and Jumex can showed more middle key values. Also Da Vinci’s 6 Parts of Light helped me draw out the Jumex can since the shiney can reflected some light mainly on the cap. Overall I would say I am very pleased with the way the artwork came together in the end result.
